Your Journey to Pastoral Ministry

Discover how the José Leal Foundation guides aspiring pastors from application to graduation, providing comprehensive support every step of the way.

Our Purpose

The fundamental purpose of the José Leal Foundation is to open doors for those young people who feel God's call to pastoral ministry but lack the necessary resources to access an academic formation. Through scholarships, spiritual guidance, and practical support, we seek to help them overcome economic and educational barriers, enabling them to fulfill their divine calling and become pastors committed to God's work.

Application Submission

Complete our comprehensive online application with your personal information, ministerial background, and pastoral calling testimony.

Initial Consultation

Participate in a virtual interview with our scholarship committee to discuss your calling, vision, and commitment to pastoral ministry.

Progress Check-Ins

Regular mentoring sessions and academic progress reviews ensure you stay on track throughout your theological education journey.

Ongoing Support

Continuous pastoral mentoring, peer support network, and resources to help you succeed in your ministry calling beyond graduation.

Qualification Criteria

1. Country of Residence

Venezuela or Colombia.

2. Testament of Vocation

Letter of Pastoral Recommendation:

Written evidence of a life of integrity, with a description of how the candidate has been involved in serving the church and the community for the past 12 months.

Written Personal Testimony:

The candidate needs to describe in detail how he/she came to a personal encounter with Christ and how he/she experienced conversion and a new birth to Christianity.

3. Academic Commitment

Letter of acceptance at one of the following university institutions:

  • "Universidad Adventista de Colombia" (UNAC)
  • "Instituto Universitario Adventista de Venezuela" (IUNAV)

4. Ministry Project

The candidate will describe on a full page his/her Ministry Call and Vision. The why he/she has chosen to become a Seventh-day Adventist Christian pastor.

Write a detailed essay titled "My Ministry Call and Vision."

Final Selection

Selection based on vocation, commitment, and financial need assessment.
